prayer meeting imageMeeting to pray was a key, natural component of the early New Testament church. Praying as individuals is vital. As is praying together as a congregation. Our Wednesday meetings are times when we join together to pray for our community, country and congregation. Samuel Chadwick, a minister at the turn of the 20th Century summed up the spiritual battle is a profound and challenging manner:

“Satan dreads nothing but prayer. His one concern is to keep the saints from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, he mocks our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.”
